More actions in favor of women

Less formality and more concrete actions in favor of women, were asked this week by the president of the Congress' Commission for Gender Equality Alicia Guadalupe Gamboa Martinez, while commemorating the International Women's Day.

In this context, the PRI deputy added that beyond the events that can be organized, women from Durango require true and specific benefits for gender equality besides of the formal politician talking.

Truth is, she said, there are still issues needed to be solved such as violence against women, children's mandatory economic aid from their fathers and the inclusion of women in higher positions at work.
