Durango
The construction of a new dam in the town of Pueblo Nuevo, which would be filled with water from the Arroyo del Agua, is a very viable project that it would help end the shortage of water in this town, especially in the main city of El Salto, according to the head of Decentralized Water System and Wastewater (Sideapas), Armando Guerrero Orozco.
"We have been working with Luis Fernando Uc Nájera, director of CONAGUA (NWC), and Francisco Xavier Rodríguez García, head of the CAED (Water Commission of the State of Durango) on the dam Arroyo del Agua project and since last year we started geology, social and topography studies," the city official said.
Along with these actions, he said, they also been working on the environmental impact studies; CAED already has the whole project on its hands.
